Judging Requirements For Best Single Achievement in IFE:

Your company judge must commit to:

1. Review and evaluate all entries (1000-word written descriptions of the IFE achievement, submitted by the airline).

2. Score each entry for relevant qualifying criteria (benefit to the passenger, benefit to the IFE industry, innovation, and sustainability).

3. WAEA Headquarters will distribute entries to judges by 22 July. Judges must return evaluation/scoring no later than 12 August 2009.

Be available to attend in-person on Sunday, 4 October 2009 in Palm Springs* (in conjunction with the WAEA 30th Annual Conference & Exhibition) a live presentation (no more than 10 minutes each) from each of the top-five entrants. Exact time to be confirmed.

*Please note this Sunday section is required of Best Single Achievement in IFE judges only


Judging Requirements For Best Achievement in Technology:

Your company judge must commit to:

1. Review and evaluate all entries (1000-word written descriptions of the IFE achievement, submitted by the airline).

2. Score each entry for relevant qualifying criteria (innovation, sustainable, technical benefit or improvement for the whole industry.

3. WAEA Headquarters will distribute entries to judges by 22 July. Judges must return evaluation/scoring no later than 12 August 2009.

There is no live presentation for this award, and the winner will be announced in the Awards ceremony on Monday, 5 October 2009 at the WAEA 30th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Palm Springs.

Current WAEA Officers and Directors are not eligible, but another individual from the member company may serve on the judging panel.
