MR YAP KIM WAH, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT PRODUCT AND SERVICES

Mr Yap Kim Wah joined Singapore Airlines in 1975 after graduating with First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

A registered professional engineer, Mr Yap has held a range of senior management positions at Singapore Airlines and its related companies covering Cabin Crew, Marketing Planning, Human Resource, and as Regional Director in charge of West Asia & Africa. He has also served as Chief Executive of Singapore Airport Terminal Services Catering, and General Manager of Singapore Airport Terminal Services Cargo, both subsidiary companies of Singapore Airlines.

Mr Yap is currently the Senior Vice-President for Product and Services, responsible for strategic planning and brand positioning and covers areas such as inflight catering and service planning, inflight entertainment, product innovation, customer affairs, training, worldwide airport operations, reservations and ticketing services.

Mr Yap is also the Chairman of Tradewinds Tours & Travel Pte Ltd and a Management Committee member of the Singapore Turf Club.

Mr Yap is married and his hobbies include scuba diving and golf.
