Digital Content Today
Amy McHaney (American Airlines), Linda Palmer (Buena Vista Non-Theatrical), Neil James (Rockwell Collins), Lee Casey (Crest National Digital Media Complex), Maggie McDermott (Cine Magnetics Video & Digital Laboratories), Sue Luxem (Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation).

Participants were taken through the digital "shopping experience" dealing with hardware, content, service company, and lab/integrator vendors.

Digital content delivery entails a longer lead-time and requires a more complicated process; however, it offers a better quality product and more flexibility in product offerings, McHaney explained.

"The timeline is worth the effort," she said, adding that benefits will increase as more airlines offer AVOD and can benefit from economies of scale by sharing content duplication costs.
