Digital Content Tomorrow
David Frankenbach (Rockwell Collins), Julian Levin (Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp.), and John Nelson (Cinea, Inc.), and moderated by Michael Childers (IMDC).

Childers believes physical delivery of media will disappear, and content integration will be largely automated in the not-to-distant future.

The IFE industry should transition to "a digital world" for cost efficiency, flexibility, passenger choice, quality and durability of product, and security, according to Levin.

A new digital system could reduce the cost of content management by increasing flexibility and security with an end-to-end encrypted system, Nelson added.

Frankenbach said that although no systemic content security issues appear to exist, "we must remain vigilant," and the timely creation of a new content standard "is critical."
