‘AIRLINE BREAKFAST CHAT' A HIT!

Brand new this year, the “Airline Breakfast Chat” launched with great success as more than 120 delegates joined in the Thursday morning roundtable discussions.

The “chat room” buzzed with lively conversation as the “airline table hosts” offered direct feedback on key IFE issues like: portable versus embedded IFE systems, demand for live broadcast TV, and results from new IFE system trials.

Delegates listened intently as “hosts” related their particular airline's position on a variety of IFE issues. Airlines also described their most pressing IFE challenges ... and how suppliers can best support them.

Feedback following the event was enthusiastically positive.

Larry Iboshi of Imagik International Corp. said: “It was great—structured but not too structured. This [session] helps smaller companies that don't get as much time with the airlines.”

Virongrong (Vicky) Ratanachaya of Thai Airways International said: “I loved it. I met with other airlines on the first day of the conference, but the ice wasn't broken yet. This [event] was so casual and relaxed, and I got so much accomplished.”

Highlights from the individual “chats” will appear in the 16 October issue of WIN (WAEA Industry News).
