• Air Berlin is the launch customer for the AIRTRACK™ onboard moving map system developed jointly by TEAC Aerospace and Lufthansa Technik AG. Beginning immediately, the airline will install AIRTRACK™ on its entire fleet of 37 B737 aircraft.
• Air New Zealand will install Rockwell Collins 'Airshow 4200 moving map and inflight information product on eight new B777s and seven existing B747s beginning in mid 2005.
• Airborne Entertainment, Ltd. announced that United Airlines began airing MetroVue™ San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City as of July 2004. Chicago and Tokyo destination programming is in pre-production for a spring 2005 release.
• Airbus KID-Systeme delivered the first Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) for the new A380.
• Airbus KID-Systeme is demonstrating the "Generation Plus," with a capacity of 150-watt power, provided in three sockets in each seat row.
• Airbus KID-Systeme is working on the expansion of applications for increased audio, video, and communication services, including Internet access.

• ARINC Inc. is demonstrating its Commercial SKYLink broadband solution with a live Ku-band satellite link in operation at its booth.
• ARINC, Inc. announced it will incorporate the MIJET™ ultra-low profile broadband antenna developed by Starling Advanced Communications in its Commercial SKYlink™ broadband service for airlines.
• ARINC, Inc. has partnered with IMS to deliver broadband Internet via the IMS Pea™ laptop personal entertainment appliance.

• CoKinetic Systems Corp. is demonstrating AirPlay, an enhanced interactive software solution for IFE systems, designed to provide a more open, "developer-friendly" environment for creating rich passenger interactives while maintaining compatibility with major IFE hardware platforms.
• DeCuir Inc, Consulting Services signed a contract with a non-disclosed start-up airline to manage the integration of the IFE experience.
• DMX Inflight has hired Rick Schiller as Media Integrator.
• DTI Software signed an exclusive agreement with The Tetris Company to add the popular Tetris game to its airline offering.

• Inmarsat has commissioned the 500th channel of its Swift64 aeronautical communications solution.
• Island Air has selected AirCell 's ST3100 Satcom system onboard the airline's fleet of de Havilland Dash 8 aircraft.
• JetBlue Airways has expanded its offerings to 36 channels of digital DIRECTV® programming broadcast in real-time to every seat and free of charge for all customers. The airline also announced plans to add films and satellite audio IFE options in the future.
• KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will offer the APS digEplayer™ hand-held digital AVOD unit preprogrammed with more than 64 movies, as well as television shows, cartoons, and music selections on flights in Europe.
• Lauda Air Italia and Livingston Energy Flight have selected Atlas Air Film + Media Service GmbH to provide complete video entertainment programming.
• Lumexis Corporation at its booth is demonstrating its NexGen2™ fiber-optic network, which eliminates the under-seat electronics box for IFE . Lumexis' fiber-optic cabling and interface units are about the size of a deck of playing cards and provide a simplified onboard architecture that will handle the increases in functionality into the future.
• Malaysia Airlines will equip 17 B-747-400 and 15 B777-200 aircraft with SITA's AIRCOM SMS.
• MAS (Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation) has entered into an agreement with Independence Air to install the eFX system, offering passengers 24 channels of digital broadcast satellite television and other premium applications on the airline's new fleet of A319 aircraft.
• Neptune Enterprises, India are overseas copyright holders of the recently premiered Indian film Yuva (Youth).
• On Air will be the brand name of the range of passenger communications services to be launched by the new company formed by SITA, Inc., Airbus, and Tenzing.
• Phitek Systems Ltd. has launched two new noise-cancellation headphones: 2102-A and 2301-A.
• Rockwell Collins and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems signed a marketing agreement to integrate and jointly market Rockwell's new moving map product and multi-region satellite television system with the General Dynamics YES! In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system.
• Rockwell Collins introduced its new moving map and inflight information products for commercial airlines: Airshow 4200 and 4200i.
• Rockwell Collins signed a non-exclusive agreement with Thales to offer Rockwell's multi-regional satellite TV system and new moving map product on the Thales TopSeries IFE system.
• Row 44, in an agreement with Hughes Network Systems, will offer DIRECWAY broadband satellite connectivity to North American commercial and business aircraft.
• Ryanair beginning 1 November will offer the APS digEplayer550™ hand-held AVOD entertainment units on all its flights.
• Shrink on Board unveiled its new relaxation video that blends breath-taking nature scenes from all over the world with soothing psychotherapeutic narration over gentle music.
• Singapore Airlines has appointed Spafax to supply and schedule its onboard television content starting in Jan. 2005. Spafax currently provides movies, publishing, and revenue generation.
• SkyTeam (alliance) last week confirmed membership for Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (part of original constituent Air France), and Northwest Airlines . The alliance's other members are: Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Korean Air.
• Spafax announced the addition of audio services—including the latest from the global music scene, expertise in all genres, multi-lingual hosting, and custom compilations—to its range of media products.
• Spafax formed a strategic partnership with Good Technology, a leading UK digital agency. The partnership enables Spafax to offer interactive design for digital IFE systems as part of its full service offerings to airlines.
• Thales has chosen Amaze Entertainment ( Kirkland , WA ) to develop new game content for its TopSeries IFE system.
• Thales will offer over 33 Nintendo Game Boy game titles on its TopSeries IFE system, targeted for early 2005.
• Virgin Atlantic Airways will install Inflight Peripherals' "Rapid Fit" headset jack module, with the initial installation on five long-haul aircraft beginning in December 2004.
