•AeroMobile ( Telenor and ARINC ) is demonstrating its newly developed inflight data service, which will allow passengers to send and receive mobile data from cell phones and PDAs.

•Airbus is demonstrating its multi-purpose wireless cabin network using a standardized connection point for all wireless devices and one antenna inside the cabin for data distribution.

•Air China will install Thales ' TopSeries i-4000 (AVOD) and i-2000 (overhead video and distributed audio) IFE systems on its new Airbus 330 aircraft.

•Airvod Entertainment Systems introduced its new portable IFE system, MACH5, featuring a 60GB hard drive, 8.4-inch screen, magnetic payment card, and the ability to load 1,000 players simultaneously.

•American Airlines has selected Inflight Canada 's iCACHE design for its B767-300 business class seat enhancement program, eliminating all wires within this cabin.

•Astronics subsidiary Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) has contracted Leschaco Aeronautics GmbH of Hamburg as an authorized agent to provide warehouse and logistics support services for EMPOWER® in-seat power systems components and other products to Airbus Industries .

•DTI Software launched Relaxline™, a software application that guides the user through relaxation sessions that can be customized to meet each user's specific needs.

•Emirates was voted favorite airline for Business Travel in Condé Nast Traveller magazine's 8th Annual Readers' Awards. The airline also received the highest score for its IFE in the Long-Haul Leisure Airline category.

Eos Airlines will launch IMS Inflight's new P-Series portable IFE system and its web-based daily news service Blast!

Eos Airlines passengers can purchase Bose ® noise-cancelling headphones inflight using the credit card reader on IMS Inflight's portable entertainment appliance (Pea).

•DMX Inflight is offering airlines a free audio program featuring music made famous by New Orleans musicians, which the airline can air between November 2005 and March 2006.

•DTI Software announced a partnership with Soundview Executive Book Summaries ®, giving passengers access to more than 100 business book summaries.

•DTI Software, celebrating its 10-year anniversary, has launched a new version of its corporate website allowing airlines to view their current programs.

•IFE Services has renewed its contract with Thomas Cook Airlines to manage all aspects of IFE , including audio, video, and movie acquisition, branding, publication of IFE guides, and tape logistics.

•Inflight Peripherals Limited is using “real aircraft noise” to demonstrate its INCAM noise-canceling module at its booth. The company's dual-purpose jack is now production ready.

•Ink Publishing will publish SN Brussels Airlines' inflight magazine in French, English, and Dutch.

•Ink Publishing will publish the inflight magazine for Wizz Air (a low-cost carrier serving central and eastern Europe) featuring articles in Hungarian, Polish, and English.

•JetBlue on 13 September took delivery of the first of approximately 18 EMBRAER 190 aircraft equipped with JetBlue's customary IFE system featuring 6.8-inch personal video screens.

•Lumexis is exhibiting its latest IFE architecture: “the smallest possible IFE system.”

•Mexicana Airlines is the launch customer for Panasonic Avionics Corporation's eXpress portable media player (PMP), which will be offered in business class across Mexicana's fleet beginning first quarter 2006. Mexicana also intends to purchase Panasonic's noise-canceling headsets.

The Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) has retained an analyst to survey and analyze airline scheduling databases worldwide to help studios and distributors validate inflight exhibition reports.

•OnAir will use Inmarsat's SwiftBroad-band and Thales ' satellite communications system to support its inflight passenger voice and data communication.

•Panasonic Avionics Corporation will integrate AeroMobile's inflight mobile communications technology into its System3000 AVOD IFE system and its newest generation X-series systems (efx, eX2 and X-wireless).

•Panasonic Avionics Corporation is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the IFE industry.

•Panasonic Avionics Corporation now offers Agence France-Presse news content as an optional news source on its “Live Text News” service.

•Phantom Media, in association with BBC World and Real Networks, can refresh news content to its Bluebox AVOD system hourly.

•Phantom Media Ltd. is in “advanced discussion” with UK-based Dawson Holdings plc to take a significant equity stake in Phantom.

•Phitek Systems has received a patent for its SmartJack™ noise-cancellation technology in the US and expects to receive further patents worldwide.

•Qantas Airways has reviewed the “Relaxed Flight” audio program created by El Al Israel captain Miki Katz and is considering re-versioning the program for its use.

•Rockwell Collins has signed an agreement with Showtime Arabia to provide “the best in live, Western and Middle Eastern TV channels” for Rockwell's Tailwind 560 satellite TV system, which debuts on Qatar Airways later this year.

•Rockwell Collins will use a unique configuration of IMS Inflight's content loading solution on an unnamed airline.

•Rockwell Collins is demonstrating its new Hi-Focus high-resolution map on its Airshow 4200 moving map and information system.

•Rockwell Collins received Purchasing magazine's 21st Annual Medal of Professional Excellence Award for accomplishments in procurement and supply chain management practices.

•Royal Jordanian Airlines will install the Thales TopSeries AVOD system throughout the cabin on four Airbus 320 and two A321 aircraft.

•Shrink on Board's Dr. Carole Lieberman has been commissioned to write a book on the psychological impact of terrorism.
