Getting there...

…by road:
Take the M25 motorway to junction 7, signposted M23 Brighton). Take the M23 southbound. The M23 becomes the A23 and takes you into Brighton town centre. Follow the signs for the seafront and the hotel is situated on the A259 seafront road, opposite the West Pier.

…from the airports:
Note: WAEA strongly recommends flying into Gatwick instead of Heathrow, due to the distance and expense of getting from Heathrow to Brighton. Delegates traveling from Asia may benefit from booking their connecting flight through a European airport with a connection direct to Gatwick.

…from London Gatwick Airport:
Car: Distance from hotel: 25 miles; Drive time: 30 minutes.
Directions: Take the M23 southbound, following signs for Brighton. The M23 becomes the A23 and is a direct road into Brighton. Follow the signs for Brighton town centre/seafront. The hotel is located on the A259 opposite the West Pier.
Bus Service: typical minimum charge is £10.00
Rail: typical minimum charge is £9.00. Trains run every 15 minutes and take 30 minutes to Brighton.

…from London Heathrow Airport:
Car: Distance from hotel is 70 miles; Drive time: 1.5 hours,
but traffic is unpredictable.
Directions: Take the M25 anticlockwise towards the M23.
Join the M23 at junction 7 and follow the M23/A23 to Brighton. Follow the signs for Brighton town centre/seafront. The hotel is located on the A259 opposite the West Pier.

Train Service: Piccadilly line trains are not stopping at Terminal 4 until September 2006 (as part of the construction of terminal 5). If you are arriving at Terminal 4 (mostly affects only BA, Qantas, KLM), you will need to take the courtesy bus to Hatton Cross, from where the Piccadilly line runs direct into London. Allow an additional 10-15 mins for the transfer. Also please note that there are no elevators or escalators at Hatton Cross.

The Heathrow Express train direct from Terminal 4 to Paddington is not affected by this construction work.

Subway/rail:
get to Victoria Station by either:
A) the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station (15 minutes) £13 one way. Transfer via the Underground’s Circle Line to Victoria (30 minutes) £2

OR

B) the Underground’s Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith. Transfer to parallel track to District Line to Victoria (1 hour) £3.80 one way.

THEN

From Victoria Station, take the train to Brighton. (Trains run every 10-15 minutes and take about 1 hour. £16 one way.)
