How much does it cost to become a member?
New Airline Members = 450 New Vendor Members = $700
Is it a company or individual membership ?
WAEA is a trade association, so your membership would be for the company. Any employee can access the membership benefits.
How much does it cost to renew my membership?
Airline renewal = $350 Vendor Renewal = $500
Renewals received after 31 January = $100 late fee
If I join this year, when does my membership end? 31 December of the current year; It is a calendar year membership (January - December).
What if I join mid-year -- are the Dues pro-rated?
No, the new member fee is the same throughout the year. However, those companies that join after the close of the Annual Conference in September will get the reaminder of the year and all of the next year included in their new membership dues.
If I was a member in the past, can't I just renew?
If your membership has lapsed for more than 1 year, you must re-apply for membership and pay the new vendor/airline dues. If you were a member within the last year, you may just renew your membership with WAEA. Contact Rob Rader for more information on your membership status.
How do you identify Airline members?
An Airline member must be an employee of a passenger Airline with a valid Airline Identification. Associated companies are not considered Airline members.
Must I be a WAEA member to attend WAEA events/meetings?
Yes. The WAEA Annual Conference, TV Market and Conference and Educational Workshops are both Members-Only events. The only exception is for the Technology Committee meetings held in June and January in Southern California. Per WAEA policy, attendance at the TC meetings is open to all members. Selected non-member representatives may also attend and participate for the purposes of providing expertise, position papers or to interest their firms in becoming WAEA members. Do my membership dues include the fees to participate/attend WAEA events?
No, there are additioanl registration/booth fees to participate in WAEA events, which may vary depending on the event.
What do my membership dues include?
Eligibility to participate in Educational/Networking events, WAEA publications such as AVION Magazine and the WIN Newsletter, Industry Recognition/Awards, access to the Members Only section of the WAEA website, as well as the opportunity to shocase your products and services through sponsorship and advertising.
