Charter/Mission Statement:
The purpose of the work of DCMWG is
to establish a standard digital content delivery system for
inflight entertainment. The objective of this work is to develop
a cost-effective & non-proprietary, secured digital IFE infrastructure
allowing for a single metadata methodology of existing encoding
methods with secure content preparation and delivery (including
existing methods and over a network) for playback creating
an environment fostering competition and encouraging participation.
These specifications will leverage existing and emerging standards
where appropriate. This project may be subdivided. DCM
