WAEA Specification 1289-2: Specification for Mastertape Recording, Tape Duplication, Compact Disc Replication, and Digital Encoding for Airborne Audio Entertainment Systems (Revision 3 - January 20, 2005)
This document outlines standards for recording program masters and tape duplicating for all cassette formats, as well as guidelines and specifications for mastering and replicating airline-format compact discs. It also provides the minimum and maximum bitrate standards for audio encoding using the MPEG 1 algorithm for Layers 1, 2, and 3.
